Enquiring Minds Want To Know (where I live)

I have moved out of the city of Chiang Mai to an area called Mae Jo (but still within Chiang Mai Province).  Here's a few pics to give you some idea of what it looks like.

I estimate the inside area to be about 1500 sq ft.  It's not a Thai-style house built on stilts.  More and more Thai are opting for western style construction.  The house rests on a concrete slab.  You can see the sat dish at the end of the house but I haven't connected yet. Thai TV programing is similar to what you get in the US - trash.

The front door faces east.  Not that it matters.  When the sun shines the inside gets hot.  But there are two air conditioners, not shown.

The view looking down the street.  There aren't many  houses nearby, but it's far from an isolated area.  There is plenty of human and dog activity nearby.

Directly across the street flowers are grown for sale.  The Thai buy a lot of flowers to take to the wats and to decorate the spirit houses on their property.

Also across the street is a large orchard.  I don't know yet what fruit is being grown.

The living room is enormous.  I don't use it excpet to catch odds and ends.

The bedroom is very large as well.  I use it both for sleeping, computer work, and listening to music.  TV (for watching movies) coming soon.  The cat's name is Andy.

The kitchen, long and lean, typical Thai style.  I've equiped it with micro wave, toaster, rice cooker, misc cooking utensils and a fridge.
By the way, the house came unfurnished, so everything you see in these pictures I had to go out and buy and have delivered.
