It turns out that I have a neighbor from Germany living on
the same street where my house is located in the village at Ban Kaset Mai. He’s a bit of an eccentric, but not so bad
once you get to know him. He invited me
into his home to show me his “museum” as he calls it. He has an enormous collection of artifacts,
mostly from Sri Lanka, Burma, and
Thailand. There is a sprinkling of
western stuff as well. Here’s some
